Indian Air Force's Spectacular 91st Anniversary Celebrations and Airshow

The 91st-anniversary celebrations of the Indian Air Force commenced with a ceremonial parade held at the Bamrauli Air Force Station in Prayagraj on the morning of October 8. The festivities began with a parade and flypast at the Bamrauli Air Force Station in Prayagraj around 7:45 am. Later in the day, a grand airshow was scheduled over Triveni Sangam, starting at 2:30 pm. The airshow featured a lineup of fighter aircraft, including Sukhoi 30, MiG 29, Rafale, Jaguar, among others. The Akashganga team also performed impressive aerial stunts. Thousands of spectators gathered to witness this historic event at Sangam, as reported by ANI.




On October 6, a full dress rehearsal took place in Prayagraj ahead of the 91st-anniversary celebration of the Indian Air Force. The main highlights of the celebration included a ceremonial parade and an aerial display over Sangam in the afternoon.

Air Force Day commemorates the official induction of the Indian Air Force (IAF) into India's armed forces in 1932. This annual event is attended by the Indian Air Force Chief and senior officers.


In a post on an undisclosed platform, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the air warriors on Air Force Day. The post reads, "Best wishes to all air warriors and their families on Air Force Day. India is proud of the valor, commitment, and dedication of the Indian Air Force. Their outstanding service and sacrifices ensure the safety of our skies."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated, "Greetings and warm wishes to all Indian Air Force personnel and their families on the occasion of the 91st Anniversary of this remarkable force. We are proud of our Air Warriors who play a significant role in ensuring India's security. The IAF today is a formidable and lethal force, projecting its air power beyond boundaries. Greetings to the Air Force personnel on Indian Air Force Day."

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commented, "With its unwavering courage and indomitable spirit, the Indian Air Force has steadfastly safeguarded the nation's interests during both times of war and peace. On this auspicious occasion, I pay tribute to their invaluable service and the sacrifices made by them to protect our nation's sovereignty."
